זְרֹועַ

זְרֹועַf. (b. h.) arm; (with animals) fore-leg, shoulder; strength, force. Ber.17b ניזונין בז׳ receive their sustenance from the Lord by dint of their strength (virtue), opp. בצדקה by divine grace. Y.Taan.IV, 69a top זְרֹועָן של כל ישראל the arm (defence, protection) of all Israel. Sabb.56a נטלו בז׳ they took by force. Lev.
